The Summer's Spring
I've been reading The Ramayana for Humanities Honors lately, and discovered an illustrated version by Sanjay Patel (from Pixar, The Simpsons, Ren and Stimpy...)with Nelson at the MLK Library. The art is amazing, and it's much more convenient than reading a three-thousand page classic during the school year! Anyway, this sketch is an homage to inspirational Eastern art and Sanjay's modern take on it. Enjoy!

Mid-Night Ride
Just getting in the autumn mood with some cat antics. This well-to-do feline is well on his way to a good time.
Tattered leaves tangle below in a chill, crashing to the ground to be eaten up in one "crunch!" Happy Oncoming Autumn!

Recommended Album/Band
In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel
Neutral Milk Hotel’s ability to make their audience undergo
catharsis while listening is very powerful, which draws back onto the purpose
of all performance: catharsis. The album In the Aeroplane over the Sea is
inspired by the very human experiences of Anne Frank, and each song stirs up
the feelings associated with her book though no blunt or obvious attempts to
tell the story are made. The experience is completely emotional, and the imagery
is beautiful.
And when we
break we'll wait for our miracle.
God is a place where some holy spectacle lies.
And when we break we'll wait for our miracle.
God is a place you will wait for the rest of your life.
Two-headed boy, she is all you could need.
She will feed you tomatoes and radio wires,
And retire to sheets safe and clean,
But don't hate her when she gets up to leave.
